Well that was another day to remember. Perfect weather, food, and fun. The race was tense and drama filled. Reading Bernie's descriptive write up brought it all back. We had some different faces under the helmets, but the result was the same. It was a "Dream Team" of friends and skilled karters of every level, Bernie is a 4 times champion, I was able to repeat, Ralph had his first taste of a team endurance victory, and Mr.Jimmy brought his smooth style, speed and charm to the team. I heard he gets some tips from Oregon racing great Todd Harris ( yeah, PRO Drive!). Bravo to the great people of Pat's Acres, the karts were well tuned, grounds and tent complex looked sharp, always. The SPEED and FEED team is A-1. They put on a great event for a great cause, so many more people need to find out about this event and get a team together. Talk about team building. Thanks to the "Fish" for sending out some skills. Where was KEX, KXL, KGON??? I was expecting a hard charge from Ted's team aptly named "The Ringers" but a stone caught in the brake system put them into catch up mode, too bad. The challenge is out. Next year I am betting will be the best year yet for this fun event and wonderful cause. Thanks again to Rev. Revvv, Pit Boss Momo (what she says goes), flaggers are tops, always nice to see in the corners, and the awesome catered BBQ chow. Scott S.
